General Data Protection Regulation
The GDPR 2016 is a regulation in EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union and the European Economic Area. It affects all organisations who use and store information about private individuals. It came into force in May 2018.
If you wish to attend a North Norfolk Astronomy Society course or event which requires advance booking, you must actively opt-in and agree that we can store information about you, such as name, address, phone numbers, email, as well as information about your NNAS membership status if any. We may use these to contact you about our activities.
Brexit makes the issue rather less clear, but the UK Government has indicated it will implement an equivalent or alternative legal mechanisms, so it's not expected to change dramatically when Brexit finally occurs.
